NEASC Accreditation

Benjamin Franklin Institute of Technology is accredited by the Commission on Institutions of Higher Education (CIHE) of the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC), receiving initial accreditation from the CIHE in 2007.  Prior to that the college was accredited by NEASC's Commission on Technical and Career Institutions.

Because accreditation is a process of self regulation, it requires that institutions engage periodically in a comprehensive and candid self-study of their strengths and concerns. BFIT has been preparing this study over the past few years, in preparation for review by a NEASC visiting team of peer evaluators.
