Academic Support Center

Academic Support Center | Department of Academic Support

The work of the Academic Support Center supports the academic life of students at Franklin through two major thrusts:

  • direct academic support to students
  • support for faculty advisors in their work as resources for students
We offer an inviting, central location that is staffed on a consistent basis throughout the week. The Center is open from 7:30am until 5:00pm, Monday through Friday. Tutoring is available for all courses taught at Franklin, along with overall study skills assistance. A Director, Faculty Tutors, and Peer Tutors staff the Center.

The Center draws students with a broad range of skill levels. Some of our most academically skillful are frequent visitors, along with peers who have greater academic support needs.

The walk-in and user-friendly format of the Center make it a popular destination for students and faculty. The Center strives to create a learning environment where students are supportive of each other regardless of skill level, and where faculty can supplement instruction outside the classroom.

Do you have questions about the Academic Support Center? We are eager to be of assistance, so feel free to stop by the ASC - Room 118 (across from Lufkin library).
