Student Success

The purpose of the Student Services department is to provide Access and Support. At Franklin Cummings Tech, our success team provides holistic coaching to help students achieve economic mobility through college credentials and transformative career pathways. We believe authentic student-centered support empowers students to thrive inside and outside of the classroom. The Franklin Cummings Tech student experience is life-changing.

Upon arrival, each student is assigned an advisor who will support the academic career of the student from the transition to college through graduation. Advising is the active process between a student and advisor to continually work towards, create, and establish a successful academic career.  While advising meetings may initially be geared towards creating and finalizing academic schedules, advising also addresses goal setting, time management, study skills, and personal growth and development.

A mutual relationship between student and advisor can be an integral part of a successful college experience and help translate skills and knowledge to the workforce. Our advising program offers our students support through assessment of strengths and challenges, review of academic progress, help with registration for future semesters, and suggestions for career preparation and success.  Students are encouraged to meet with their advisor to discuss both challenges and successes. Meetings will facilitate clarification of educational and personal goals, resolve or mediate challenges, and assist in obtaining referrals to outside services.
