Tracey Arvin

Associate Professor Tracey Arvin is the Chair of the Electrical Technology program. Professor Arvin is a Licensed Vocational Educator in The State of Massachusetts with over 15 years of classroom experience. Teaching experience includes courses taught at the college level (BFIT and Boston College), as a vocational-technical high school instructor (Assabet Valley and Blue Hills Regional, Vocational, Technical High Schools), and for private industry (Wayne J. Griffin Electric). Professor Arvin holds both a Journeyman’s and Master’s Electrician License and is approved by OSHA to teach 10 hour Construction Safety Course. In addition, Professor Arvin has over 25 years of industry experience which includes industrial installations and control systems, commercial and residential construction, and small business ownership. Professor Arvin’s educational background consists of a Bachelor’s of Arts Liberal Studies, with a concentration in Vocational Education, from Framingham State College; a Bachelor’s of Science in Geology and Earth Science, from Salem State College; and a Master’s of Science in Geology and Geophysics, from Boston College. Other educational certificates earned include, North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) Photovoltaic Entry Level Certification, and National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) Instructor certification.

Charlie Palmieri

Assistant Professor Charles Palmieri, is a Journeyman and Master Electrician. Professor Palmieri is a Certified Electrical Inspector, a certified Electrical Instructor, a principal member on the NEC’s Code Making Panel-7, and a member of The NFPA Electrical Section, The Massachusetts Board of State Examiners of Electricians, the Electrical Code Advisory Committee and the Code, Interpretations Committee.

Thomas DeCosta

Thomas DeCosta, Instructor, has been working in the electrical industry for over 30 years and is a Journeyman and Master Electrician. Over the years he has worked as a residential, industrial and commercial electrician. He has been a maintenance supervisor responsible for 20+ employees. In construction he was accountable for construction projects of $1,000,000+. He now operates a successful business on the cutting edge of electrical technology. He has vast experience in manufacturing, water treatment, waste water treatment, programmable logic controls, instrumentations, and variable frequency drives.

Chris VillanoChristopher Villano, Instructor, is a Journeyman and Master electrician. He has been working in the electrical field for over 27 years at both large and small companies with experience ranging from industrial to residential settings. Chris is currently the owner of Villano Electric Inc and wiring inspector for the town of Abington.
