The Dean of Students administers the daily operations of the Department of Student Affairs encompassing Student Services, Career Services, Advising, Academic Support, Residence Life, and Athletics.
He serves on various BFIT committees including Strategic Planning, Infrastructure, Senior Staff and Marketing. Dave is an advisor to the Student Government and Leadership Organization and the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.
Dave earned his Master's in Education from the University of Massachusetts-Boston in and his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Syracuse University. He began as the Director of Student Life at BFIT in 2001.
He is an active member of the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA) and National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA).

Nick Pirelli

Director of Student Involvement and Leadership

The Director of Student Involvement and Leadership engages students through clubs and organizations, various intramural and campus activities, leadership-related programs, and civic engagement opportunities.
He serves on the Marketing Committee and Campus Beautification and Landscape Committee. He also serves as an advisor to Student Government and Leadership, the Green Club, and Outdoor Adventure Club.
Nick has a Master of Science degree in Management with an emphasis in Higher Education and Bachelor of Arts degree in Organizational Communication, both from Bridgewater State College.
He previously worked at Bridgewater State College as a community outreach coordinator, where he created strong collaborations between the college and local communities through an array of Civic Engagement projects.
He is a an active member of National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA), National Association for Campus Activities (NACA), and Massachusetts Campus Compact (MCC).
Nick has been with BFIT since 2009.

Karen Diaz

Director of Career Services

The Director of Career Services provides students and recent graduates with the tools necessary to enter the workplace with many advantages. Her focus is establishing and maintaining relationships with industry partners to obtain internship and employment opportunities for college students and graduates.
She serves on the Marketing Committee, Green Technology Committee, and advisor to the Green Club.
Karen earned her Master of Science Degree in Business Education from Southern New Hampshire University and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management and Marketing from University of Massachusetts-Boston.
She is a an active member of the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE), Eastern Association of Colleges and Employers (EACE) and, Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce.
Karen has been with BFIT since 2008.

Rachel Arno

The Director of Advising supports students with their academic goals through advising, course registration, academic support, and academic success.
Rachel has a Master of Professional Studies degree in Human Resource Management from Stony Brook University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Special Education with a concentration in Elementary Education from Rhode Island College.
She previously worked at Stony Brook University first as a Residence Hall Director then as an Undergraduate College advisor where she provided academic advising, programming, and outreach support to first year students.
Rachel is a member of the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA).
Rachel has been with BFIT since 2010.

Brett Wellman

The Director of Residence Life and Housing manages all aspects of Residence Life to ensure that the facility is safe, well maintained and conducive to study.
Brett has a Master of Science degree in Literacy Education and a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education / English both from the State University of New York College at Oneonta.
He has previously worked as a Residence Hall Director and Assistant Director of Residence Life in Western New York and the Greater Boston area, and returned back to Boston after working as a Student Conduct Coordinator in Dallas, TX.
Brett is a member of the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA), American College Personnel Association (ACPA), and the Boston Area College Housing Association (BACHA).
Brett has been with BFIT since 2010.
