Description of Duties:

This person will perform first articles, inspect high precision machined and molded parts using elaborate setups. Products will include: sheet metal, molded and machined parts, printed material, cables, and electronic components PCB’s. Will perform both mechanical and visual inspections as required; must have experience using department equipment including CMMs, OGP Smart scopes, Optical Comparators, height gauges, calipers, Vernier’s, micrometers etc. Perform source inspections when required. Assist with department training for measurement equipment or technique. You will generate Non Conformance reports for products out of tolerance. Ability to work independently, require little supervision. Ability to interact with department members, Engineering, R&D and Supplier Quality on component issues.

Required Qualifications:

Requirements: High School Diploma with at least 6+ years’ experience in Mechanical Inspection Field. Must be able to read mechanical drawings and specifications; proficient in the use of inspection tools and equipment. Must be able to perform inspection related transactions in SAP; and be able to lift at least 30 pounds. Hours are Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM.
