Description of Duties:

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday starting typically 7:00 a.m. and participation in the on-call rotation for after-hours and weekend service calls approximately 6-8 times per year Benefits: We offer a competitive benefit package including vacation, holidays, pre-tax medical/dental and flex spending, company-paid disability and life, 401(k) with partial match, uniforms, and company smart phone and vehicle for business use Essential Functions: • Ability to install various Commercial Refrigeration equipment at Customer locations throughout New England, including walk-ins, ice machines, glycol units • Ability to trouble-shoot, diagnose, and repair equipment on-site or over phone with assistance • Ability to professionally and effectively communicate with the customer regarding equipment and explain clearly what you will do to fix the issue • Ability to braze and solder for compressor changes • Ability to lift up to 60 pounds without assistance; up to 150 pounds with assistance • Ability to sit or stand for at least 30 minutes • Ability to twist and bend at the waist repeatedly • Must be able to work 10+ hour days and be available for after hours and weekend emergency service calls every 6-8 weeks • Professional and clear communication with manager/co-workers via phone, text, email, and in person • Must be able to receive dispatches and complete work orders electronically Additional Functions: • Maintain parts and equipment inventory and timely communicate restocking or ordering needs • In-house refurbishment of used equipment for resale or repurposing • Training of new employees • Participation in professional or safety training • Any other duties requested by management

Required Qualifications:

Education, Skills, and Physical Requirements: •High school diploma or G.E.D. with Refrigeration certifications/license(s) preferred •Minimum of 2 years experience in commercial refrigeration (preferred) •EPA Freon certification (Universal) is required •Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record •Must be able to pass a background check, including a drug screen •Must have experience working with tools and have a mechanical aptitude •Must have experience educating customers using technical and non-technical language to explain work being performed, particularly during difficult situations •Comprehension of electrical schematics is required •Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English both with management and customers on the phone and in person, with the ability to problem solve with all parties mentioned using ‘best in class’ customer service skills •Team player who enjoys a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
