Created April 20, 2018Library Technology Operations AssistantReports toLibrary DirectorJob Description:LTOA is responsible for administrative tasks,preventative maintenance tasks, and troubleshooting to maintain a stable technological environment for library patrons and staff. Tasksincludebut are not limited to:Setting up, troubleshooting, and training users on library AV equipmentChanging out mice, keyboards, and other peripheralsInvestigating and troubleshooting reported helpdesk tickets before escalating to expert helpTroubleshooting basic network complaints (rebooting modems, etc.)Troubleshooting and regular administrative tasks on public and staff facing equipment Work with Minuteman Library Network Performing onsite tasks as directed by consulting technology firmBasic updates on library computers, tablets, and other devicesMonitoring technology supplies inventoryCreating user guidesAssisting with 1:1 technology help sessionsOther duties assigned

Required Qualifications:

HS Diploma or GED Strong background and interest in technologyExperience performing basic technology troubleshooting Effective communicator, particularly about technologyCommitment to excellent customer service to internal and external customersAbility to follow directions and complete tasks in a timely fashionComfort working independently
