About the job:
You will aid in the design and implementation of electrical systems and strategies as part of a dynamic engineering and project team. As a member of our Building Electrical department typical responsibilities include:
•CAD design of electrical systems
•Creating lighting layout designs and calculations
•Performing Arc Flash study calculations
•Specifying and procuring equipment
•Improving calculation templates for electrical design
•Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, Access) and AutoCAD or similar software
•Familiar with the National Electric Code, wireless radio systems, fire and security systems. Fiber or LAN cabling is a plus.
•Strong technical writing skills
•A Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field of study is required. Please include a PDF version of your student transcripts - unofficial is acceptable. Related working, co-op or internship experience is preferred.
•Spanish or Portuguese language skills are a plus, but not required
Travel to client construction sites will be required of this position. Candidates should expect overnight travel not less than 20 - 25% of the year depending on project status and location.
