The Boston Water and Sewer Commission BWSC is the largest retail water and wastewater utility in New England. BWSC is a public authority that owns and operates the water distribution, wastewater collection and stormwater drainage systems that serve the City of Boston.

Description of Duties:

Under the general supervision of Supervisor of Fleet Services or designee, performs routine general maintenance on Commission vehicles including replacement of all lubricants and other fluids required for vehicle operation and performs minor repairs as directed. Drain and replace engine oil and filters from fleet vehicles with new oil/filters of appropriate type. Remove and replace vehicle radiators, flush and replace coolant. Replace/replenish other vehicle fluids/lubricants as necessary. Operate vehicle lifts and automatic fluid fillers. Rotate/change and repair passenger and pick-up tires. Replace vehicle indicator bulbs, fuses and wiper blades/arms. Assist in maintaining a manual monthly log of mileage and hour reading on Fleet vehicles. Replace/repair vehicle exhaust systems; replace batteries, starters and alternators. Clean interior and exterior of vehicles. Assist in the diagnosis of minor electrical problems. Perform related duties as required.

Required Qualifications:

- High School diploma or GED required. - Must possess a valid Massachusetts Driver's License. - Must have knowledge of all safety procedures and be able to demonstrate the proper use of all required safety equipment. - Must possess some hand tools.
