Shockers Basketball

This is the fifth year of Shockers basketball at BFIT. During the 2006 -2007 campaign the Shockers qualified for their third consecutive playoff appearance in Region 21. The team completed the season with a 13- 13 overall record and finished 10 -10 in conference play. Sophomore co- captain Roderick Jackson set all- time highs in field goal percentage and blocked shots and was named to the first- team All New England in Division III. Jackson accepted a full athletic scholarship to play basketball at William Penn University (Iowa) in the fall. William Penn is a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). Sophomore Dave Santos became the first in Shockers history to surpass 1,000 points and was also named first team All New England. Sophomore co-captain Nick Carco completed his career as the all- time leader in three- point field goals and will continue his career at the Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston. Wentworth is a member of the NCAA, Division III. The Shockers will begin their quest for a fourth trip to the playoffs when they meet conference foe Briarwood College on Saturday, November 3 at the Wang YMCA. All Shockers home games will take place at the Wang YMCA of Chinatown in Boston. Admission is free to all home games. Go Shockers!
