"An investment in knowledge pays the best interest" - Benjamin Franklin
As one of the most affordable private colleges in Massachusetts, Benjamin Franklin Institute of Technology (BFIT) is committed to making higher education financially feasible for our students. Through this commitment the college awards more than $2 Million in financial aid and scholarships to more than 90 percent of our students. As an accredited, non-profit college, BFIT awards financial aid programs including grants, scholarships, as well as student and parent loans.
The only application that is required to apply for financial aid is the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) through the U.S. Department of Education. The priority funding deadline to qualify for the maximum financial aid award is May 1st.
The college offers a variety of scholarships and grants. The Trustee’s Scholarship ranges up to $5,000 per academic year and is awarded to those who demonstrated outstanding academic accomplishments while in high school. The President’s Merit Scholarship ranges up to $2,500 per academic year and is awarded to those students who served in leadership positions while in high school or who have a history of community service. The Benjamin Franklin Scholarships range up to $3,500 per academic year and are awarded to students who demonstrate academic potential.
