Marvin LoiseauMarvin Loiseau, Associate Dean of Admissions and Financial Aid, BA, MA. Marvin began his tenure as Director of Admissions at Benjamin Franklin Institute of Technology in July 2011. Before joining the Admissions team, Marvin worked at Mount Ida College as Associate Dean of Undergraduate Admissions. He has over nine years of higher education experience in undergraduate and graduate admissions, financial aid, and residence life at Mount Ida, Babson, and Suffolk respectively. Marvin received his Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Mount Ida College and a Master’s degree in Education from Suffolk University. He is currently pursuing his Doctorate in Education Northeastern University.

Charlie Cremens

Charlie Cremens, Director of BPS Partnerships and Admissions Recruitment. Charlie holds a NSCAA Advanced Regional Diploma and Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from the University of Massachusetts-Boston. He previously worked in constituency relations with the West Suburban YMCA, Massachusetts Senate President’s Office and National Association of Government Employees before joining Benjamin Franklin Institute of Technology in 2007. Charlie is a member of the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA).

Min Chen Small

Min Chen, BA, MA, Associate Director of Admissions. Formerly an International Affairs Officer at the Beijing Film Academy, Min joined the BFIT Admissions Team at Benjamin Franklin Institute of Technology in October of 2006. Min was born and raised in China. She received her B.A. at Foreign Affairs College, a unit of the PRC Foreign Ministry, in English and International Studies, specializing in Diplomacy. In December of 2005 she received her double Master's in Communications and Political Science from the University of Oregon. Amanda Marstaller, BA, M.Ed., Associate Director of Operations and Transfer Outreach.Amanda is originally from Southern Maine; she moved to Boston to attend Emmanuel College, where in 2004 she graduated with a B.A in English Literature. More recently, she graduated from Northeastern University in 2011, earning a Masters of Education, specializing in Higher Education Administration. Amanda also joined the admissions team in 2011 as an Assistant Director of Admissions.  In her new role she works to develop pathways for students to receive college credit at BFIT for previous classroom experiences, as well as focuses on the daily operations of the admissions department. Contact: E-mail; 617-588-1372


Kiera Mahoney, BAAssistant Director of Admissions. Kiera graduated from Curry College in Milton in 2005 with a degree in Psychology and a minor concentration in Women's Studies. She previously worked at Laboure College in Boston where she was also an Admissions Counselor for eight years. Leaving Laboure in 2008, Kiera decided to explore her passion for the health industry and worked as a certified personal trainer. After two years, Kiera left her career to stay at home and raise her two children. Abra Berkowitz, BA, MA, Admissions Recruiter. Abra joined the Benjamin Franklin Institute of Technology Admissions Team after working in student affairs at international environmental studies programs. Abra’s grandfather was a BFIT student over 70 years ago! She is thrilled to join the Admissions Team because of her passion for hands-on learning. In Admissions, Abra recruits new students in the cities and towns south of Boston. She also manages staff travel arrangements and college fairs. Abra holds a bachelor's degree in English and Environmental Studies from Lafayette College, and a master’s in Environmental Studies from Ben-Gurion University in Beer Sheva, Israel. Marvin Casasola, BA. Admissions Recruiter. Marvin is from Paterson, New Jersey and is of Guatemalan heritage. He is new to the Benjamin Franklin Institute of Technology Admissions Team. He attained his Bachelor's Degree at the University of South Carolina, and is now pursuing a Master's of International Higher Education and Intercultural Relations from Lesley University in Cambridge, MA. He previously worked as an Admissions Staff at the University of South Carolina and served as South Carolina Regional Director of Phi Iota Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Jorge Ramos, BA, Admissions Recruiter. Prior to joining BFIT, Jorge served as the school administrative support for Cathedral High School, where he counseled students on college and career readiness. He coordinated the after school program and assisted in recruitment events. Prior to Cathedral High School, Jorge worked at Boston College as the office assistant in the office of residential life. Jorge shares a story much like our students and will be able to relate to our students in a positive way. He is fluent in Cape Verdean Creole, Portuguese, and Spanish. Jorge earned his BA in Sociology from Boston College. Jorge will be responsible for recruitment and community outreach in Boston, with a focus on Dorchester, Roxbury and Mattapan. Yasmine Julmisse, BS, High School to Career Counselor. Originally from West Palm Beach, Florida,Yasmine is the primary contact person for recruitment and mentorship of Early Access to College , BFIT’s dual enrollment program. Though she attended Suffolk University and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Broadcast Journalism, she has extensive experience with youth outreach and mentorship. Following a brief assignment as a Morning Show reporter for New England Cable News, she worked at the Mildred Avenue Community Center advising and teaching students, in addition to organizing their summer showcases. Yasmine also serves as a mentor to inner-city students by using dance and art to engage her students with the Urban Youth Project, formally known as IYP Fusion Dance Company in Dorchester. Contact: Email; (617)-588-1368

Jamie L. Santiago, BA, M.S, Interim Director of Student Financial Services. Jamie began working at Benjamin Franklin Institute of Technology in February 2014 as the Assistant Registrar. Prior to that position Jamie brings fifteen years of experience in her new role from a variety institutions of higher education in New England and eastern seaboard, her primary focus being Enrollment Management  for undergraduate students.  Jamie was the Associate Director of Admissions and Financial Aid at Landmark College in VT, Associate Director of the Student Service Center at Emerson College and Director of Financial Aid at Hallmark Institute of Photography in Turners Falls, MA.  Jamie has a passion for working with students to help them realize that earning a college degree is possible. Having been a first generation college student herself, she earned an Associate and Bachelor degree from Mount Ida College in Newton, MA. Manoucheca Julce, BA, M.Ed. Financial Aid Counselor. Graduated from Cheyney University (the first historically Black University), earning a BA in communications. During her undergraduate years, she worked as an office assistant for the financial aid department. After matriculation, she has worked with a diverse population serving youth in both Philadelphia, PA as a City Year corp. member and in Cambridge, MA as a Youth Worker at Frisoli Youth center. At both institutions, her goals have always been to promote and assistant students in entering higher education. Jonathan Silva, AA. Student Accounts CoordinatorJonathan has an extensive background in the Medical administrative field working closely with patients on their financial needs. He holds a certificate in Medical Administrative Assistant from Everest Institute and an Associates degree from Bunker Hill Community College in Foreign Languages. He comes to us from Fenway Health as the Patient Accounts Assistant. Some of his previous occupations were Health Benefits counselor at Joseph M. Smith Community Health Center and the Financial Service Representative at Mount Auburn Hospital. Jonathan grew up in the Roxbury neighborhood and is of Puerto Rican descent.  Jonathan has joined the BFIT community where he is responsible for assisting students with processing and planning their financial aid.
