The College offers several continuing education courses in plumbing coding (tiers I-IV) and the Opticianry field.
National & State Opticianry Certification Review Courses
The College offers three short-courses designed to help prepare apprentice opticians for national and state certification exams. Each course is recognized by the Massachusetts Department of Labor and Division of Apprentice Training & Development for 10 hours towards the Apprentice Optician requirement for formal education hours. The review courses offered are:
- Review in Optics and Contact Lens Design
- Review in Optics and Prescription Spectacle Design
- Practical Review in Optical Instrumentation & Rx Analysis

Plumbing Coding (Tiers I-IV)
The plumbing program is designed and aligned with the State 5-tier code requirement and also the State Continuing Education code requirements. The certificate consists of 110 class hours per tier. Each tier takes approximately five months to complete. Students are responsible for their own code books. The courses are currently taught by a Boston City plumbing inspector. These semester long courses start in September and January of each year.
