  • "Benjamin Franklin Institute of Technology changed my life.  I began at the age of 22 and did not see any hopes of graduating with a degree.  But with the personalized attention and faculty who really care, I now have a Computer Engineering Degree and work at IBM, something I always dreamed of doing.  The Office of Career Services facilitated this internship and it has had such an impact in my life.  If it had not been for BFIT, my quality of life would not be what it is today.  Thank you BFIT!"

Meet the Staff


Brett Wellman

Director of Residence Life and Student Conduct

Brett is originally from a small town in upstate NY, 30 miles west of Albany. He attended SUNY Oneonta where he received his Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Education/English.  Since 2001, Brett has worked professionally in Residence Life as a Residence Hall Director, Assistant Director of Residence Life, and Student Conduct Coordinator

Brett’s favorite things about Boston are catching a Sox game at Fenway, dining out in the North End, and the Brookline Booksmith in Coolidge Corner.

Brett’s advice to new students is to take advantage of all that BFIT and Boston have to offer! There’s plenty to do and see. And don’t forget to have fun and make the most of your residential experience!
