Of equal importance to the college are our students’ physical and mental well being. Massachusetts state law requires that all individuals maintain health insurance annually. For this reason students are provided with health insurance at the time of matriculation. The charge for heath insurance is reflected on the tuition bill. Students have the option of waving their right to the student health plan if they carry separate insurance or are claimed as a dependent through another individual’s health plan.

Life and academic challenges can present distressing situations for college students. Students are invited to discuss personal and academic concerns with Student Affairs staff. Dependent on the severity of the issue student’s may be referred to a mental health professional for continued counseling.

Through a partnership with the Wang YMCA of Chinatown, BFIT students can receive a discounted gym membership. Student must bring a valid BFIT student ID to the Wang YMCA and complete the application for membership. Click on the link for details and directions to the YMCA.
