Office of Career Services
The mission of the Office of Career Services (OCS) is to provide the tools necessary for graduates to enter the workforce with every advantage to be successful. The OCS assists students and alumni with finding employment in fields related to their major areas of study or continuing on to advanced studies. This mission and the services we provide play a critical role in helping the College to fulfill its mission. The positive placement outcomes have long been considered a cornerstone to the College’s success. Our philosophy is to begin very early in the student’s academic career, creating awareness and providing the guidance and resources to prepare for the work place. We make every effort to achieve this by:
- continually developing new relationships with employers in the industry for possible internship or employment opportunities, and to keep apprised of changes in the industry.
- developing and offering on-going workshops for employment readiness.
- coordinating on-campus recruiting activities including our Annual Career Fair.
- offering career counseling to discuss various options should the graduate choose to transfer to another college to continue their education.
- keeping current with the occupational trends and job outlook.
- identifying employment opportunities and listing available jobs.
- providing tip sheets and resume samples.
The Office of Career Services is located on the first floor of the main building (Franklin Union Building), Room #U119. We are open each week day, all day. Just stop by or call ahead for an appointment. We are eager to be of service to our current students, faculty, staff and employers. We look forward to working with you!
