Michael Bosco

Bio: Mike began his tenure as Dean of Admissions at the Benjamin Franklin Institute of Technology in May 2010. Prior to his appointment at the Benjamin Franklin Institute of Technology, he worked at Mount Ida College in Newton, Massachusetts and at Johnson & Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island. He has presented on topic relating to strategic enrollment management and admissions at regional, national and international higher education conferences. Mike is currently pursuing his docorate degree focusing on higher education administration at Northeastern University.

 

Marvin Loiseau

Bio: Marvin began his tenure as Director of Admissions at Benjamin Franklin Institute of Technology in July 2011. Prior to his appointment at Benjamin Franklin, Marvin worked at Mount Ida College as Associate Dean of Undergraduate Admissions. Marvin has also worked at Babson College in Wellesley, MA, and Suffolk University in Boston, MA. He has over nine years of higher education experience in undergraduate and graduate admissions, financial aid, and residence life at Mount Ida, Babson, and Suffolk respectively. Marvin received his Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Mount Ida College and a Master’s degree in Education from Suffolk University. He is currently pursuing his Doctorate in Education from Northeastern University.

Bio: Charlie Cremens joined Benjamin Franklin Institute of Technology in April 2007. While working at the college he has held many titles including Assistant Director of Admissions, Head Soccer Coach, Residence Advisor, as well as Interim Athletic Director and currently Director of the Boston Public School Partnerships. The most satisfying facet of his responsibilities is guiding students and watching them mature throughout their college experience. Prior to BFIT, Charlie worked in constituency relations with the West Suburban YMCA, Massachusetts Senate President's Office and National Association of Government Employees. His passions are volunteerism, athletics and mentoring the students that BFIT serves.

Bio: Zach has served in his current position at the Benjamin Franklin Institute of Technology since September 2010. Prior to his tenure at BFIT, he worked in admissions at Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts and as a secondary school social studies and English teacher in New York and Connecticut. Zach is currently working toward his doctoral degree in higher education administration at Northeastern University. When not working or studying, Zach spends his time playing competitive amateur baseball in Boston, as well as playing pianos and singing in his alternative band, Waves.

 

Amanda Marstaller

Bio: Amanda Marstaller worked as an admissions representative at a small technical school for over three years before joining the BFIT Admissions Team in April of 2011. Amanda is originally from Southern Maine; she moved to Boston to attend Emmanuel College, where in 2004 she graduated from earning a B.A in English Literature. More recently she graduated from Northeastern University in 2011, earning a Masters of Education, specializing in Higher Education Administration. Amanda primarily works with students from Southeastern Mass and parts of Boston.

Bio: Jess worked in various facets of textbook publishing before joining the BFIT Admissions team in December 2007. Originally from Rhode Island, Jess graduated in 2003 from the University of Rhode Island with a degree in English and a minor in Spanish. She moved to Boston in 2005 to pursue a Master's degree in Publishing and Writing at Emerson College.She works with students from the North Shore, NH, ME and VT.

Bio: Formerly an International Affairs Officer at the Beijing Film Academy, Min joined the BFIT Admissions Team at Benjamin Franklin Institute of Technology in October of 2006. Min was born and raised in China. She received her B.A. at Foreign Affairs College, a unit of the PRC Foreign Ministry, in English and International Studies, specializing in Diplomacy. In December of 2005 she received her double Master's in Communications and Political Science from the University of Oregon. Currently, she covers Boston, Brookline and Quincy. She is also the Admissions Counselor for our international students.

 

Katelyn Germano

Bio: Katelyn started at Benjamin Franklin Institute of Technology is July of 2010 where she assists in the daily operations of the Admissions Office. Katelyn has recently completed her Master's Degree in School Counseling (Grades 5-12) at Bridgewater State University in May 2011 and has a true passion in assisting students in pursuing college or other options after high school. Prior to working at BFIT, Katelyn worked within the Office of Admission at Bridgewater State University as their Graduate Assistant and Tour Program Coordinator. Katelyn coordinates the Admissions Office's travel schedules for the fall and spring.

Bio: Vienedre joined Benjamin Franklin Institute of Technology in January of 2011.  She comes to BFIT with Higher Education experience from her time spent at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.  During her tenure at UMass, Vienedre served as an Administrative Coordinator in the Student Legal Services Department, as an undergraduate admissions counselor, and as an Assistant Director of ALANA affairs, where she worked with the diverse students of color at the University.   In addition to her work in higher education, she has worked as a real estate agent and in field, administrative and management capacities with the U.S. Census Bureau.
