Student Health Insurance

Under the provisions of Chapter 23, Section 22, of the 1988 Massachusetts Health Security Act, each institution of higher education must require students taking nine or more credits to participate in the student health insurance program or submit waiver information showing participation in a health insurance program with comparable coverage.

If students already have comparable health insurance, they can complete a Health Insurance Waiver form at www.chpstudent.com. This website will be available for newly enrolled Spring students interested in waiving their health insurance beginning up until January 21, 2010 for the spring semester. Waivers will not be accepted after January 21, 2010.  

The charge for student health insurance for the Spring 2010 semester is $228.00. This fee covers the period from January 14, 2010 to August 28, 2010 and is non-refundable.
