Every application to BFIT is carefully reviewed by the Admissions committee. Students are offered admission based on a combination of their academic performance in high school, recommendations and personal characteristics. Benjamin Franklin Institute of Technology reviews applications on a rolling basis, once they become complete. Students are encouraged to complete their applications as soon as possible.

Freshman Admission

In addition to the application for admission, freshman applicants should submit their official high school transcript or official GED scores, a personal statement and one letter of recommendation.  If you are seeking transfer credit from another college, please have your official college transcripts sent to us, in addition to the aforementioned requirements.

In addition to the above requirements, all full-time applicants must submit vaccination records, upon their acceptance to the College.

Applicants must also schedule a Math and English placement test to determine placement into courses. Students with math and/or English transfer credit may be exempt from testing.

Interviews are not required for admission to the college, but they are recommended. Often an interview with a member of the admission staff, and a tour, will help you discover if BFIT is a good match for you. Opportunities to sit in on a class and spend time with a current student are also available.

If you would prefer to submit a paper application, please contact our office and we will be happy to mail one out to you. You can contact us at 877-400-BFIT X121 or via email
admissions@bfit.edu to request a paper application be mailed to you.

If you would prefer to use a paper version of our application, you can access it here. Please print off the application and submit it with the $25 application fee.
