Min Chen

Min Chen, BA, MAAssistant Dean of Admissions

Languages spoken: Chinese, English
Formerly an International Affairs Officer at the Beijing Film Academy, Min joined the Admissions team in October of 2006. She was born and raised in China. She received her BA at Foreign Affairs College in English and International Studies, specializing in Diplomacy. In December of 2005, she received her double Master’s in Communications and Political Science from the University of Oregon. Min serves students from around the world! 是的,我说中文(普通话)

Chinecherem Ezeihejafor

Chinecherem EzeihejaforAdmissions Counselor

Chinecherem joined the Admissions team in 2023 with rich experience in higher education. At Salem State University, she served as Program Specialist for Dean Support Educators Scholars of Color Program and Admissions Counselor in the Undergraduate Admissions Team. Back in her native country, Nigeria, she worked in sales and in the Office of Student Services at Lighthouse International Schools for 7 years. She recently graduated from Salem State University with a Master’s in Higher Education Administration.

Marie GendronMarketing and CRM Specialist

Marie joined the college in 2019. She oversees Enrollment marketing and serves as administrator for the college’s CRM and website. She is a communications and marketing professional (and former journalist) with excellent writing skills, extensive digital publishing experience, a knack for new technology, and an eye for content marketing opportunities. She was formerly Assistant Director of Marketing at Wheelock College.

Jackie Grant

Jackie Grant, BS, MFAAdmissions Counselor

With a background in film and higher education, Jackie brings a unique approach to guiding students on their paths to achieving their goals. She understands that not every path is linear, and having been a first-generation student herself, she knows the importance of helping students get the proper resources to help them towards their success. After receiving her BS in Communications from Ohio University and her MFA from Emerson College, Jackie is excited to join the Franklin Cummings Tech community!

Kweisi Johnson

Kweisi Johnson, BSAssociate Director of Admissions

With an academic background in marketing and professional experience in data entry and customer service, Kweisi is excited to bring his experience to Franklin Cummings Tech with a focus on getting the right students the correct resources, information, and services to help match them with the many in-demand programs the college offers. Having recently relocated to the Boston area from New York City, Kweisi has come to resonate with the hardworking nature and courteous ways of the folks of Boston. The diverse and welcoming nature of our staff and faculty translate to a positive environment to cultivate a successful academic experience that he looks forward to contributing to for years to come!

Kaitlyn Mastrangelo

Kaitlyn Mastrangelo, BSEnrollment Operations Specialist

Kaitlyn joined the Admissions team after serving as a teacher’s assistant at the Italian Home for Children Pallotta School.  After internships at Own Up, Clean Harbors Safety Kleen, and Boston PIC, she found education to be the most rewarding field. Kaitlyn graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Social Psychology from University of Massachusetts-Boston. She believes everyone should have the tools and resources to earn the education they deserve. Kaitlyn is excited to join a team that shares the same passion for connecting students to their full potential.

Kaissa Oulhadj

Kaissa OulhadjAssistant Director of Admissions

Languages spoken:  Arabic, French, Spanish, Tamazight, English, conversational Spanish and some ASL
Kaissa graduated from Franklin Cummings Tech in 2022, earning a Certificate in Software Development. She was previously a Project Coordinator at Boston University, an LPN at Massachusetts General Hospital, an MA/ Phlebotomist at Boston Medical Center, and an Interpreter in a telecommunications company in Algeria.

Lara Tavares

Lara Tavares, BA, MADirector of Early College

Lara Tavares joined our Admissions department after having served in the Early College Access Department at Massasoit Community College for two years, where she was in charge of recruiting, registering and advising high school students in their Early College Program. Lara’s student affairs journey actually began at Benjamin Franklin Cummings, where she served as the Associate Director of Early College Initiatives. During her initial tenure, Lara created community partnerships, recruited diverse sets of local students, advised high school juniors and seniors, designed culturally inclusive programming, and co-developed a peer mentorship network for the Advanced Standing Associates Program. Her approach to student affairs is rooted in bringing faculty, school liaisons, parents, and students together. She believes this is necessary to promote academic success and foster positive outcomes in both student experiences and early college program initiatives. Lara believes that this work cannot be done without strong community ties, thus she has worked to build strong inroads to the Cape Verdean community in Boston, which has fruited numerous opportunities for underrepresented students to attend and successfully graduate from college. She is a graduate of Boston Public School’s Jeremiah E. Burke High School. Post-graduation she went on to earn a BA in Education Studies and Sociology with a minor in Social Justice and Social Policy from Brandeis University and an MA in Higher Education with a concentration in Student Affairs from Boston College.

Shani WilkersonDirector of Financial Aid

Shani came to Benjamin Franklin Cummings Institute of Technology from Wheelock College, where she served as the Assistant Director of Financial Aid. At Wheelock College, Shani assisted in the management of financial aid packaging and operations, served as a staff advisor to the Black Student Union, and mentored the “Wheelock Women of Color,” a college-wide organization for incoming first-year students. Prior to her time at Wheelock, Shani was the Senior Financial Aid Counselor at Roxbury Community College. She has also worked in financial aid at Northeastern University, and in admissions and financial aid at Pennsylvania Institute of Culinary Arts in Pittsburgh, PA. Shani earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh and earned her Master of Science in Leadership and Human Resource Management from Northeastern University.
