Meet the Admissions and Financial Aid Team
Marvin Loiseau, Associate Dean of Admissions and Financial Aid BS, MEd. Marvin began his tenure as Director of Admissions at Benjamin Franklin Institute of Technology in July 2011. Before joining the Admissions team, Marvin worked at Mount Ida College as Associate Dean of Undergraduate Admissions. He has over nine years of higher education experience in undergraduate and graduate admissions, financial aid, and residence life at Mount Ida, Babson, and Suffolk respectively. Marvin received his Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Mount Ida College and a Master’s degree in Education from Suffolk University. Charlie Cremens is Director of BPS Partnerships and Athletics. He holds a
NSCAA Advanced Regional Diploma and Bachelor of Science degree in
Political Science from the University of Massachusetts-Boston. He
previously worked in constituency relations with the West Suburban YMCA,
Massachusetts Senate President’s Office and National Association of
Government Employees before joining Benjamin Franklin Institute of
Technology in 2007. Charlie is a member of the National Association of
Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and National Soccer Coaches
Association of America (NSCAA).

Ozie Ratcliff, BA, Director of Student Financial Services.
Before joining the BFIT team, Ozie worked at Healing Touch Career College where he was the Corporate Director of Financial Aid, managing the financial aid process for both campuses in Jackson and Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Prior to Healing Touch, Ozie worked at Antonelli College in Jackson, MS as the Associate Director of Financial Aid where he supervised a financial aid representative, loan officer, student accounts manager and a student services representative, while managing a caseload and packaging students. Ozie received a Bachelor of Business Administration-Accounting from Jackson State University and is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration with emphasis in Leadership from Belhaven University.

Zach Santomauro, BA, MST, Associate Director of Admissions. Zach has served in his current position at the Benjamin Franklin Institute of Technology since September 2010. He has worked in admissions at Brandeis University and as a secondary school social studies and English teacher. Zach is currently working toward his doctoral degree in higher education administration at Northeastern University. Zach earned his BA from University of Rochester and his M.S.T. from Pace University. Min Chen, BA, MA, Assistant Director of Admissions. Formerly an International Affairs Officer at the Beijing Film Academy, Min joined the BFIT Admissions Team at Benjamin Franklin Institute of Technology in October of 2006. Min was born and raised in China. She received her B.A. at Foreign Affairs College, a unit of the PRC Foreign Ministry, in English and International Studies, specializing in Diplomacy. In December of 2005 she received her double Master's in Communications and Political Science from the University of Oregon. Min is the Admissions Counselor for students from parts of Boston, Brookline, Quincy, and our international students.

Vienedre Roberts, BS, Assistant Director of Admissions. Vienedre joined Benjamin Franklin Institute of Technology in January of 2011. She comes to BFIT with Higher Education experience from her time spent at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. During her tenure at UMass, Vienedre served as an Administrative Coordinator in the Student Legal Services Department, as an undergraduate admissions counselor, and as an Assistant Director of ALANA affairs, where she worked with the diverse students of color at the University. Vienedre works with students from Central and Western Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, and veterans of the armed services that would like to enroll at BFIT. Contact: E-mail; 617-588-1359
Amanda Marstaller, BA, M.Ed., Assistant Director of Admissions. Amanda has worked as an admissions representative at a small technical school for over three years before joining Benjamin Franklin Institute of Technology in April of 2011. Amanda is originally from Southern Maine; she moved to Boston to attend Emmanuel College, where in 2004 she graduated with a B.A in English Literature. More recently, she graduated from Northeastern University in 2011, earning a Masters of Education, specializing in Higher Education Administration. Amanda primarily works with students from Southeastern Mass and parts of Boston.

Darwin Almonte, BA, Assistant Director of Admissions, received his Bachelor's degree from Roger Williams University in Anthropology/Sociology with a minor in Spanish and Business. Before joining BFIT, Darwin worked for Seven Step RPO as a Lead Recruiter for one of their clients, General Motors. There, he was responsible for staffing their Information Technology and Powertrain departments. Darwin is originally from Lawrence, Massachusetts and now resides in the greater Boston area.

Kiera Mahoney, BA, Admissions Counselor, graduated from Curry College in Milton in 2005 with a degree in Psychology and a minor concentration in Women's Studies. She previously worked at Laboure College in Boston where she was also an Admissions Counselor for eight years. Leaving Laboure in 2008, Kiera decided to explore her passion for the health industry and worked as a certified personal trainer. After two years, Kiera left her career to stay at home and raise her two children. Returning to her original passion for higher education, Kiera has joined the BFIT community as a part-time Admissions Counselor.

Jacob Freedman, BA, Admissions Communications Coordinator. Jake graduated from Quinnipiac University in 2011 with a degree in Media Production and a minor in Interactive Digital Design. Currently, he is finishing up a Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration at the University at Buffalo, The State University of New York. Jake is an avid movie-goer and frequently attends concerts. While at Quinnipiac Jake had the amazing opportunity to travel to South Africa where he worked on a team to film two documentaries. He is originally from Boston and very happy to return to the area.

Student Financial Services Team:
Steve O'Leary, BA, MAT, Student Accounts Coordinator. Prior to joining the BFIT team, Steve worked as a social worker for the Department of Transitional Assistance at the Dudley Square Office. He has also worked at Northeastern University and taught in the Quincy and Melrose public school systems. Steve spent his undergraduate years at Westfield State University and received his Masters in Teaching from Northeastern University.

Manoucheca Julce, BA Graduated from Cheyney University (the first historically Black University), earning a BA in communications. During her undergraduate years, she worked as an office assistant for the financial aid department. After matriculation, she has worked with a diverse population serving youth in both Philadelphia, PA as a City Year corp. member and in Cambridge, MA as a Youth Worker at Frisoli Youth center. At both institutions, her goals have always been to promote and assistant students in entering higher education. Currently, she is obtaining her Master’s in Education specializing in guidance counseling at Cambridge College.
