Advising at BFIT is coordinated out of the Department of Student Affairs by the Director of Advising. Upon arrival, each student is assigned a First Year Advisor who will support the academic career of the student from the transition to college through their first year at BFIT. All second year students with a 3.0 GPA or higher will be supported through the Advising Center and the Director of Advising. Second year students with a 3.0 GPA or lower will stay with their first year advisor who will continue the advising process from the first year.

The Director of Advising, Rachel Arno, is responsible for training advisors and coordinating all advising services for the college. In addition, she advises a caseload of over 100 BFIT students, including students in the Academic Recovery Program.
